Annie Arnoldy is a graduate of Iliff School of Theology in
Denver, CO. She received a Master’s of Divinity degree from Iliff in 2004.
Before that, Annie attended Colorado State University where she studied
creative writing and received a degree in English. Annie grew up in the
Denver area, attended Cherry Creek High School, and was a long-time member
at Hope United Methodist in Greenwood Village. She credits Rev. Sam Day,
Rev. Margaret Rush Hankins, and Rev. Steve Miller as some of her mentors in
ministry.
Since coming to First UMC in 2005, Rev. Annie has continued her journey
toward Ordination in The UMC. In June 2008, she will be Ordained in Full
Connection as an Elder in The UMC. Also, 2008 is a General Conference year.
This conference gathers delegates from around the world to make decisions
for The UMC. This will be the first time young adults are invited to give an
address to the entire body of delegates. Rev. Annie is one of the six young
adults who will speak in a presentation at General Conference.
Here at FUMC, Rev. Annie continues to work in the areas of Younger Adults,
Missions, and Adult Education. Within the area of Younger Adults are college
ministries with Mesa State and ministry groups with those in their 20s and
30s. The Adult Education programs include short-term Bible studies, a
daytime Mom’s Bible study, and classes on current issues in the church and
in the world. Mission areas include the Missions Committee, which supports
many local non-profits, and ministry with Kenya. Rev. Annie went on a
mission trip to Kenya in 2006 and hopes to go back during the summer of
2008. Rev. Annie also sits on the Conference Board of Global Ministries.

Some words from Rev. Annie on her family
and interests:
I was recently married to a wonderful man, Eric Arnoldy, so I am now getting
used to a new last name! I am also blessed to have my parents as members of
our church. Eric and I have a yellow lab named Cody. I have one brother,
Brandon, and Eric has one sister, Sarah. Our siblings and Eric’s parents all
live in Colorado so we spend a lot of time visiting the Front Range to see
them. I enjoy snowshoeing, swimming, and biking, especially with all of the
nice weather in the Grand Valley. |
