Reverend Blaine Scott - Pastor

Blaine has been pastoring First United since 2005.  He is a "first career" pastor who graduated from Saint Paul School of Theology in 1991.

His theology is characterized by his daily prayer, “Lord let me be a part of what you want to bless.”  God’s grace is a gift given to each person, and we are invited to share the blessings of that unconditional acceptance.

Therefore, the church is to be a friendly “grace place” to belong, become, and be from – as we experience acceptance, grow our faith, and go out to serve.

He enjoys empowering downtown congregations to become regional centers for worship and community meetings.
 
He is a member of the downtown Kiwanis service organization.
Blaine enjoys landscape photography, mountain biking, riding his motorcycle, and watching comedies with his family.
Blaine and Tracy have one daughter and son-in-law.
Together, they enjoy outdoor activities such as skiing, canoeing, and hiking.
They’re other “children” include several dogs, horses, and a cat.
